20 weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along? 20 weeks and 1 day

Size of baby: About 10.5 inches long and 10.5 oz

Total weight gain/loss: 10 pounds as of my visit on Monday

Maternity Clothes: yup, here we are!

Gender: Find out on Thursday!! Cannot WAIT!!!

Movement: So excited to feel the baby more these days, such an amazing feeling!! Jeff felt baby Todd for the first time after our appointment on Monday, he was a very proud daddy :)

Sleep: eh, it'd be better if I got more of it!  Having some back problems so that doesn't help

What I miss: I guess caffeine still, I'm doing fine without it, but honestly not missing much at this point

Cravings: Anything with alot of flavor!  Also TONSSS of ice water

Symptoms: Still not having much, besides the back pain of course

Sooo excited for our upcoming appointment where we will get to see our precious little, and find out the gender!  Jeff still insists that we're having a boy, but more recently everyone else who was thinking boy is switching their votes to girl!! We shall see! I will be updating very soon to let everyone know!

Almost HALFway!!!

Well we're getting closer to that halfway mark! I'm 17 1/2 weeks, going on 38 of course! We are so ready to meet our little peanut :)  Things have been going really well, note the gap in blogs, I have gotten my energy back and have been on the go! This weekend we are celebrating my FIRST mother's day! I have the sweetest friends that are so thoughtful, it was so fun coming home from work yesterday to beautiful flowers and a sweet card from two of my roommates from college!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along? 17 weeks and 3 days

Size of baby: 5.1 inches / 5.9 oz

Total weight gain/loss: I have gained 9lbs as of this morning, seems to be right on track!

Maternity Clothes: yup, taking over my closet!  I am still able to wear some of my pre-pregnancy shirts, but pants are maternity all the way - they are so much more comfortable on my growing belly

Gender: Find out June 6th - counting down the days :)

Movements: I have felt very faint things but then usually followed by a stomach growl, so I'm not convinced that I have really felt the peanut, but I cannot wait!

Sleep: Sleep has been much better, still getting up to go to the bathroom, but I am alot more rested throughout the day

What I miss? Caffeine! don't we all?

Cravings: Sour things and WATER - can't seem to get enough!

Symptoms: the only "symptom" I can think of is back pain, but other than that I have been really blessed with almost no symptoms!

Wish all the moms, and moms to be, a wonderful mother's day!

Love, the THREE of us

Soon to be.....

A FAMILY OF 3!!!

that's right, all the decaf drinks, especially no Dr. Pepper, eating constantly, tired morning, afternoons and nights... you guessed it!  Jeff and I are expecting :)  We couldn't be happier than we are right now!

I know, I know, first questions first!!!

How far along am I?  12 weeks!! Goodbye 1st trimester :)
When is the little babe going to make an appearance? October 14
How have I felt?  What a blessing, I have hardly been sick at all, actually only threw up 2 times so far!  I do feel nauseous throughout the day but usually only when I am getting hungry, and eating a snack will usually fix that nasty feeling.
Boy or Girl?  Too early to tell, but we do want to find out!  I am way too much of a planner to let that one go.  Although, Jeff says there's nothing to stress about, he only makes boys, so we apparently already know what we're having ;)
Next appointment?  I have my next appointment in 4 more weeks.  At the 12 week appointment yesterday, we were able to hear the heartbeat, made everything a little more real for both of us!
Maternity clothes?  Surprisingly I am still wearing my regular clothes, although not everything fits like it used to, so I have removed somethings from my wardrobe!  But for the most part I can still wear the same pants and shirts, they say the baby bump appears over night so I'm just waiting for that to pop up one morning!

There's a little update, I hope to have a picture soon!!  Jeff and I are so excited for this new addition to our little family, can't wait to meet our little bean!

Snow Day 2011.02

So like I said in the last post... it has been a strange winter.. although I'm writing this on a beautiful 65 degree day.  We had a second snow/ice day in February, only led the boys to "one up" the previous igloo, and left the ladies inside to enjoy the warm fire!  One day in the snow is plenty for me!

Snow day 2001.01

So ironically I'm writing about our first snow day on yet another snow day... Today actually marks my 3rd snow day this week... when does this EVER happen in Texas. This morning I checked and there are 757 schools closed in the Dallas area! most of which have been closed since Tuesday... wow.
Back to this post, this was back in January and we were all off work and got to play a little bit.  Although, I didn't play much, due to the issue that my wardrobe does not include snow gear.  This did not stop the kids, Adam and Jeff.  They started by building a HUGE snow man (i don't think I got a picture with them next to it, but it was taller than Jeff!)  and then paused for a little snowball fight, followed by some snow angels,

and then finally their pride and Joy.... the igloo!  Adam actually formed each brick using a shoe box, then Anthony and Ava would bring the "bricks" to Uncle Jeff and he assembled the structure... impressive.

Looks like they're already planning to repeat this today, pictures to follow!

For now, take care and be blessed,

Christmas in Tyler

The week between Christmas and New Years Jeff and I headed out to Tyler to visit with his family.  Adam and Jodi and the kids were also there.  It was so nice to just enjoy each other's company with nothing to worry about but love, laughs, and good food!  Jeff's parents so generously gave me my first DSLR camera! and ... I'm in LOVE!! I'm still learning how to take pictures with all the different settings, but so excited to learn more.

tis the season

So looks like I'm in the habit of once a month blog posts! It's just been a busy time of year, spending time with my sweet husband between both of us working, running errands, spending time with family, I have to admit - busy hasn't been sooo bad :)  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We're headed out to the inlaws this week so I will try to post again soon!!
Peace and Blessings this holiday season!
