3 months!
You are wearing 3 and 3-6 month clothing.
You are wearing a size 1 diaper.
You weigh about 14.5lbs, we will get an official weight at your doctors appointment.
You are still exclusively breastfed. You also have the occasional bottle of breast milk if you stay with grandma. The last bottle you had you held it the whole time, who taught you that?
You still sleep in our room at night in your pack and play. You are waking up several times a night, not always hungry, sometimes you just need to be soothed back to sleep.
You have started to “self soothe” by sucking on your hands.
You love that you can get your hands in your mouth, you usually get 4 fingers in there and just chew away! Unfortunately this means that you have begun the teething process so you're quite uncomfortable and squirmy a lot of the time. Your dad and I hate to see you like this but we know that it's just part of growing up!
You like to play on your palymat now. You’re getting really good at hitting and kicking all the toys that dangle down.
You have gotten really good at grabbing things; toys, bibs, moms hair, etc! You also like to shake noisy toys like rattles.
You sit in your Bumbo chair like a big boy.
You are quite the little rolly polly! You can roll from your belly to your back and are trying so hard to go from your back to your belly.
You still love your nighttime routine of playing with dad and taking a bath!
Recently you are finding getting dressed and undressed quite funny – you giggle each time a onsie or shirt goes over your head – too cute!
Your little personality continues to shine through, we love you so much, Luke! Happy ¼ year birthday!

Project 52 | 1
After falling in love with styleberryBLOG last year, I have decided to jump on the Project 52 bandwagon. I have been trying to think of a theme for my project, but basically I can't come up with anything more fitting then the theme Shawna used last year: Motherhood, only I'm going to change it to "Parenthood" ... Jeff's playing a roll in this too :) It's perfect, its who we are and what we do right now. I would love nothing more than to document Luke's first year, week by week - how fun will that be to look back on for years to come? All you other mamas out there challenge yourself, lets do project 52 together! Each week I will link back to Shawna's blog and would love to link you too!

2 months old!
Sweet Luke James, here’s what you’re up to at 2 months old!
You are wearing 0-3 and 3 month clothing.
You are wearing a size 1 diaper.
You weigh 14lbs… according to our weighing system… dad weighs himself and then weighs again while holding you.
You nurse exclusively and are quite the champion eater! You nurse every 3 hours during the day and then cluster feed you last three feedings before bed (every 2 hours).
You still sleep in our room at night in your pack and play. The past 3 nights leading up to your 2 month birthday you have slept from 10pm-5am, you wake up only to nurse for your usual 10 min then back to sleep till about 8:30!
You’re pretty particular about going to sleep. For the most part you want to be held upright and have your back patted and we will “shhh” in your ear – seems to be very calming for you.
You got a new swing, the mamaroo, for Christmas this year, you are loving it!
You love your binky! You have to have it when you fall asleep and typically nap with it, but at night you spit it out before you go to bed.
You have also discovered your hands, you haven't been particularly interested in sucking your thumb, but rather your index finger an wrist!
You don't enjoy laying on your back very long too play, but you absolutely love laying on your changing table on your back. You stare up at the shelf above you and talk and giggle for as long as I let you.
You love your nighttime routine of playing with dad and taking a bath!
You love the bath! You smile the whole time and try to scoot out of your bath seat to get your legs in the big tub.
You love talking, but especially with dad; you two “coo” and “oo” and “ahh” back and fourth. I love hearing your little giggle too!
We have enjoyed getting to know your little personality so much over the past 2 months! You are such a joy to be around and everyone thinks you are so sweet! We love you so much and cant wait to see what next month brings!
